LEO spotlights Julie's "First on FOX" story
LEO (Louisville Eccentric Observer -- a weekly news/features/entertainment publication) published an article about local TV news coverage, including Julie's, of a story involving a law firm's dumping (without shredding) of client files loaded with personal information, like Social Security numbers, addresses, medical information, etc. However, a photo caption and a quoted source (John Ferre) made the error of assuming "a FOX-41 reporter" took a box of dumped documents back to the station. Julie was not even at the recycling center when another FOX 41 employee retrieved the box. Julie was actually out on another story, and only upon returning to the station did she see the box and was she taken off her original story and put on this one. LEO published a correction in a later edition.
