7.12.08 - JULIE WINS SPJ AWARD - Julie receives 2nd place at the 2008 Louisville Society of Professional Journalists Awards in the General TV News category, in which she was judged on her reporting during 2007.

6.10.08 - JULIE GETS AWARD - Jefferson County Public Schools recognizes Julie as "Super Star: Most Valuable Volunteer" for her service in helping students.

5.16.08 - JULIE SPEAKS TO MIDDLE SCHOOL - Julie spoke to 8th graders at Clarksville Middle School about a career in TV news, Fri., May 16.

5.11.08 - JULIE, FBI CITIZEN AGENT - Having graduated from the FBI Citizens' Academy in April (after two months of hands-on classes), Julie filed an in-depth report on WDRB-TV FOX 41 on her experience, including firing machine guns and going through firearms training. Watch it here.

5.12.08 - JULIE EMCEES EVENT - Julie emceed Celebrate Asia Family Day at the Speed Art Museum at University of Louisville, Sat., May 10.

5.11.08 - JULIE INTERVIEWS HILLARY CLINTON - Julie interviewed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton one-on-one, Fri., May 9 in Louisville. Watch the story that aired on Sat., May 10.

3.28.08 - JULIE SPEAKS AT CAREER DAY - Julie shared information on her job to about 450 students at Watson Lane Elementary School in Louisville for about three hours on Thu., Mar. 27.

2.14.08 - JULIE READS TO KIDS - Julie read to two 2nd-grade classes at Gutermuth Elementary School in Louisville on Valentine's Day.

2.2.08 - JULIE GRACES BILLBOARD - You can see Julie and a few other WDRB-TV FOX 41 anchors on a billboard in downtown Louisville, along the Ohio River. It's just west of "Spaghetti Junction" (where I-64, I-65, and I-71 meet), as you head west on I-64 or exit toward the I-65 interchange.

2.1.08 - JULIE & BILL ANCHOR WEEKENDS - Bill Alexander joins Julie Tam to anchor and file reports for the 10pm news on FOX 41 Saturdays and Sundays. Julie will also continue reporting three weeknights on FOX News at 10.

12.12.07 - JULIE BOWLS FOR A CAUSE - Julie bowled for the FOX 41 team at Bowling for Brightside, a fundraising event for the city's beautification organization, which featured local media celebrities, the mayor, and police chief, on Thu., Nov. 15, at Lucky Strike at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville. 11.15.07 - JULIE DELIVERS LECTURE - On Thu., Nov. 8, Julie spoke to a Spalding University communications class.

11.14.07 - JULIE GOT MARRIED - Julie got married on Sat., Oct. 20, 2007 in Houston, TX and is back in Louisville, KY.

9.29.07 - JULIE MAKES COVER OF PAPER, SCENE - The newly revamped weekly Saturday Scene section of Louisville's Courier-Journal features an article and photos of Julie and her fashion/style items. Julie also graces the cover of Scene and the front page of the newspaper.

9.8.07 - RUCAA MEMBER SPOTLIGHT - Rice University Chinese Alumni Association features Julie on its website and monthly e-newsletter.

7.24.07 - TERRORISM LECTURE - On July 19, Julie was a guest lecturer at Indiana University Southeast in Clarksville, IN on the topic of the media's role as related to homeland security and terrorism.

6.13.07 – FASHION ARTICLE Velocity , a weekly section of Louisville's Courier-Journal newspaper, published a full-page article and photo about Julie's wardrobe and fashion sense in Closet Raid.

5.11.07 - CAREER DAY - Julie spoke to 8th graders at Clarksville Middle School in Clarksville, IN as part of "Career Day," about a career in broadcast journalism.

4.28.07 - NEW PHOTO ALBUM - A new album called "TV World" has now been added to Julie's Yahoo! Photos page, which includes images of Julie reporting, anchoring, producing, and just hanging out at her different TV stations after hours over the years.

2.14.07 - CELEBRITY READING - Julie spent part of her afternoon reading to 1st graders at Gutermuth Elementary School in Louisville, along with other local celebs.

1.15.07 - JULIE THE WEBMASTER - Julie is the new webmaster for the Texas chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association.
