Animals

The cause I feel strongest about is animals. They're very important to me because animals are so often innocent victims, helpless to defend themselves from human destruction of their habitats and the animals themselves. People plow through forests, killing nearly every animal in their way. Irresponsible pet owners neglect or abuse their dogs or cats. The atrocities are countless. And it is so sad, especially because there seems to be no end to animal cruelty and the cases are not prosecuted enough in courts.

We all know controlling animal overpopulation begins with spaying and neutering, but too many people don't see past their own litter and therefore continue to let their pets bring new animals into a world with no room for them.
